Movses Khorenatsi (traditionally c. 410–490s) was an Armenian historian, translator, poet, and scholar. He is traditionally associated with the intellectual generation formed around Mesrop Mashtots and Sahak Partev.

His History of the Armenians traces Armenia from legendary origins through late antiquity and preserves traditions, genealogies, songs, and narratives found nowhere else. The work became foundational to Armenian historical memory.
