Description
Nobel Laureate Gunter Grass's novel The Tin Drum is about a period of pre-war, post-war, post-war Germany, the duality of man in Europe, the decline of morals, the destructive rage of fascist ideology on human society. The protagonist of the novel, the sick dwarf Oscar, sees the panorama of the great catastrophe that befell humanity, the maturation of the Second World War, its course, its end, the decline of the moral values of the individual and society on that panorama.
