Muratsan (1854–1908), the pen name of Grigor Ter-Hovhannisian, was an Armenian novelist and playwright born in Shushi. He became one of the important voices of nineteenth-century Armenian historical fiction.
His best-known novel, Gevorg Marzpetuni, recreates Armenia during the reign of King Ashot II and examines duty, leadership, and national survival. His fiction also includes social novels, novellas, and the historical drama Ruzan.
