Vardges Petrosyan

Vardges Petrosyan (1932–1994) was an Armenian novelist, playwright, essayist, journalist, and public figure born in Ashtarak. He studied at Yerevan State University and became a widely read voice in late Soviet Armenian literature.

Novels such as The Last Teacher, Lonely Walnut Tree, Fire Shirt, and The Hippocratic Cap Is Heavy explore moral responsibility, generational conflict, education, and the pressures of contemporary society.
