Lewis Carroll (1832–1898) was the pen name of Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, an English writer, mathematician, photographer, and clergyman. He is celebrated for fantasy shaped by language games, paradox, and dream logic.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass reshaped children’s literature. His poetry includes Jabberwocky and The Hunting of the Snark.
