About Perch Zeytuntsyan

Perch Zeytuntsyan (1938–2017) was an Armenian novelist, playwright, and screenwriter born in Alexandria, Egypt. His family repatriated to Soviet Armenia, where he began publishing fiction as a teenager.

His novels and plays revisit history to examine power, conscience, and political responsibility. Important works include Arshak II, All Rise, Court Is Now in Session, and The Stolen Snow; he also served briefly as Armenia’s minister of culture.
