Description
Armenian Coffee - Organic (Henry's House of Coffee)
Armenian coffee is a traditional method of preparing and serving coffee that originated in the Armenian culture. You brew this coffee using finely ground coffee beans and use a small pot called a jezve or cezve.
Prepare it by adding water to the pot, and then bringing the mixture to a boil. Once the coffee reaches the desired strength, you pour it into small cups and serve hot.
Armenian coffee is rich, full-bodied and has a strong, robust aroma. It is a popular beverage in many parts of the world, particularly in countries with a significant Armenian population. You typically serve Armenian coffee at special occasions and ceremonies.
The Armenian word for coffee is "soorj" and the way it is made is similar across most Balkan and Mediterranean countries. However, one thing that sets them all apart is the way you order it.
In Armenia they call it haygagan soorj. In Greece, you order an elliniko. If you were in Lebanon you would say gahwey arabi. Regardless of what you call it, we take great pride in making sure the taste is universal. Enjoy.
