Compiled by: Mehri Azaryazdi
This is the fourth book from the series Good Tales for Smart Children. It includes stories from the book "Golestan and Molestan"
By Golestan or Gulistan we mean the book of the Persian poet Saadi named “Golestan” written in 1258 CE. Golestan had a new and unprecedented style and expression; it had a richer language and deeper meaning than all the previous works created by Saadi. His prose and poetry were both flawless and smooth; the various narratives were sweet and pleasant. Very soon the book attained wide acclaim and became a popular and demanded book. Since the days of Saadi, the writer’s style and “Golestan’s” prose have been warmly accepted by readers around the world. The book is titled “Golestan and Molestan” to point out that the stories included in this book are not taken solely from “Golestan”. By “Molestan” we mean the stories written in a similar style as the stories from “Golestan”, which are summoned in this book.
