Description
The book is the memoirs of Oliver Baldwin, the second earl of Bewdley, the son of English Prime Minister Stanley Baldwin. He came to Armenia at the invitation of Alexander Khatisyan in the fall of 1920 and served as a lieutenant colonel in the Armenian army. Almost a century after its publication in 1925, it was first translated into Armenian and published in Armenia. Baldwin's testimony mostly refers to the establishment of Bolshevik power in Yerevan and the first stage of the February Uprising of 1921, so his impressions as a direct participant and at the same time "side view" of the events in Armenia in 1920-1921 are very important.
