Description
Suzanne Collins – The Hunger Games
Sixteen-year-old Katniss lives with her mother and younger sister, Prim, in the poorest district of Panem, District Twelve. Panem, built on the ruins of a country once called North America, had warred with its districts against the Capitol and lost, being forced to send one boy and one girl each year to the deadly "Hunger Games" reality show. The terrain, rules, and audience involvement may change, but one truth remains constant: kill or be killed. When Prim is chosen by lot, Katniss unhesitatingly replaces her sister, changing her destiny and beginning a story in which courage and sacrifice are the only way to gain strength.
