Virgil (Publius Vergilius Maro) - Eclogues, Georgics
The book covers the Bucolics (also called the Eclogues) and the two other significant poems that preceded the Aeneid by one of the greatest ancient Roman poets, Publius Vergilius Maro (70–19 BC). The first complete translation of Georgics from the original Latin into Eastern Armenian, with an extensive introduction and notes. BC "Bucolics" written after the idyllic idylls of the Greek poet Theocritus, who lived in the III century, brought fame to the young poet. Georgics is dedicated to farming, gardening, pet care and beekeeping. The idea of earth originated in B.C. From the poem "Work and Days" by the Greek poet Hesiod of the VIII-VII centuries. Yet Virgil's poems are also very different from their Greek counterparts; they reflect the natural world and beliefs of Italy, the shocking political events of the time, and even philosophical theories of interest to the author. The literary heritage of Virgil is completed with these two poems, translated into Eastern Armenian by Gohar Muradyan and Aram Topchyan. A number of small works are also attributed to him, the authorship of which, however, remains disputed.
